MEXICO~Day 4

Wednesday morning we woke up and ate breakfast, we walked around a bit and took some pictures and then we all plopped down in some chairs out by the pool and read for awhile. We had all brought new books to read on the plane and thankfully, every one's books were so good that we were all thrilled to have some free time to sit down and read! The effects of our sunburn were still very evident and some of us still had the whole freezing/burning/teeth chattering thing going on while we were sitting out in the sun.

Sabrina took tons of pictures of these little cuties! They were everywhere!

Looking out our room we had a great view!

This guy stopped the girls while we were shopping later that day. He said he worked at our resort and was so excited to see the girls. It was his day off and he was working with his dad, selling jewelry in a little stand. We don't remember seeing him at the resort but he showed them his badge and his uniform under his other shirt....He said they (other employees at the resort) called us Charlie's Angels whenever they saw us! Ha ha, too funny!

Great shot of Playa Del Carmen. We took a shuttle to this great town to shop for the afternoon.

These guys just appeared on the street, in front of where we were sitting and stayed there for a couple of hours while people took pictures with them. The poor girls were so sunburned, they couldn't stand to get too close to them! They were kind of pokey!

A Mariachi band was playing music. Sam asked them if she could take a picture with them. A couple of them walked away before she asked them but these guys said,"Sure!"

I was so burned that I couldn't even walk! This little bench is where I sat while the girls walked around with Bonnie and shopped!! I have never been in so much pain in my life!

This sweet boy rode along with our driver as we rode the shuttle to go shopping. He was our guide once we arrived to Playa Del Carmen. He pointed out some great places to shop and then met us 5 hours later to walk us back to our shuttle. He was very sweet and had a great smile.

Sitting in the Italian restaurant that night, waiting for our table. It was so weird to order anything off the menu and then get up and leave when we were done without having to pay a bill! All-inclusive was a great way to go for us!

The girls found an adorable little lizard on the sidewalk on the way back to our rooms. Sam got to hold it for a few minutes before it bolted away!

Sabrina sitting out by the water fountains the night before we left that beautiful place!

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get the girls on the plane the next day, they loved Mexico and all it had to offer!!!

Ha ha, thanks Janelle for the heads up about the gecko. My girls knew that but to me everything with legs and a tail is a 'lizard'.....I will get it right next time! :) Good luck with finals! And of course, I forgive you. I know you are super busy. You know where to find me when life slows down! :)
