Why is it that your furnace goes out in the winter and your air conditioning in the summer??? That's so mean!!
Our furnace has decided that it's 15 years into it's 20 year life expectancy and it's getting tired. It started making a horrible racket the other day and we had to shut it off. After having a repairman come out and look at it, he decided it needs a new something or other (thankfully that something or other only costs $300 + labor to fix). The bummer is the part had to be ordered from the manufacture and won't be here until tomorrow (fingers crossed).....until then we are FREEZING!!!!
We figured we might as well use the darn thing until that part wears out (the repairman suggested that!!) even though it sounds like something is going to explode at any moment, so we are getting some heat. Of course it's been freezing outside all weekend and in fact, it's snowing right now but our furnace is chugging along and we'll be thankful for every minute we get out of it!!!

I would think with all those bodies in your house you'd keep warm just from all the body heat. :)

That's true! When we get a few kids chasing the dog around, it warms this place up in no time!!
And yes, the snow is crazy!! The poor tulips are shivering in the yard and the frogs in the pond that were croaking last week have been silenced....hopefully not frozen!!
