Fresh Start

I'm ready for a fresh start. I have been on the edge of being ready for quite a while now but it finally kicked in completely and I'm going to take it and run!!

Just after Thanksgiving, I knew I needed to make some changes in my lifestyle. My eating and exercise choices were not doing me any favors. I got serious and experienced amazing results. Then the holidays came. I actually did pretty well through all of that and was so proud of myself, I let it all go........well most of it. The exercising got pushed to the back burner, the eating went hay-wire and my general attitude went South.

When I was on track, I remember thinking to myself on a daily basis: Nothing tastes as good as health feels! There wasn't a brownie or cookie out there that tasted as good as I felt when I was at my best. I was eating the right foods, I was exercising daily and I felt so good.

Today is my fresh start day. Some people have one of those every Monday but not me. I don't start anything until I am fully committed in my brain to give it everything I've got. I don't like the feeling that comes with failing at something, so until I know that I will give it everything, I prefer to wait until I'm ready!!

What I will do: Start each morning with an infared heat sauna, drink my spinach, avocado, cucumber, lemon shake for breakfast (this is the one thing I have stuck with since I started back in November), have my amazing broccoli-slaw with slivered almonds and olive oil for lunch and for dinner I will eat what my family is eating plus another salad, full of veggies and topped with olive oil! I will also use my TurboSonic daily as well as using my TreadClimber five days a week for 30 minutes. I will do 40-50 push ups 6 days a week. I will also drink 4 liters of water with SuperGreens daily(just another huge boost of veggies!!).

That sounds soooo easy. It's the snacking in between meals that has been a huge downfall, not to mention, what was being snacked on. The lack of exercise has also played havoc on my physical well being, not to mention my mental health as well.

Well, there you have it! This is entirely for my benefit (posting my goals for the whole world to see) but if anyone wants to come along on this journey, feel free! Sandi, you inspired me with your post recently. Thank you for that! I know many of you are Mothers (just a few Dads out there reading this) and I truly believe that a mother's health is the most important thing in the world! She is the foundation that the whole family is built around. She needs to be strong and healthy!! I am ready for my fresh start and will keep you posted along the way!!!

Say Boo-ya! I am here to help in anyway you ask. I ahve felt our food choices are not the best lately and we can do better. Thank you for taking the lead.

And I agree with the comment about a mother's health (physical, spiritual and emotional) is key or the foundation to a happy family.

I love you my Queen!

I'm in. I would like your recipe for that breakfast drink though...I can just use my blender or Quisinart right? I am working out on the Wii fit and loving it, it's at least more than I was doing. Todd has his twenty year reunion this summer and I want to lose some weight for that and for myself!

I'm flattered! You are already such an inspiration to me, what with losing all that weight so many years ago and making it through every day with ten kids! Good for you! I wish you the best of luck.

I can say I don't agree with the statement about tasting things and health. Of course I did grow up with three sisters hating my guts due to the fact I don't gain weight. Sorry Tari Love you.
