Our fabulous 4th actually started Friday night when we went to the airport with the Ball family to welcome their son, Matthew home from his mission to Australia!

Since his flight was coming in at 9 that night, we hired our first baby-sitter ever......Sweet Miss Sarah! She was so nice to come over on short notice and hang with the 8 youngest kiddos (6 of whom were already in bed). Thank You Sarah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scott, Samantha, Sabrina and I all went to the airport with posters and balloons to welcome him home! We had so much fun getting to be a part of his "welcoming committee", thank you Ball family for letting us join you! Welcome Home Elder Ball.....well, Matthew. :)

Saturday morning we woke up early and started gathering food, buckets, chairs, sandals, towels and sand toys. We had invited ourselves to the Ball's house for the day but first we had to dig our feet in the sand and jump a few waves at the beach.

Thankfully the traffic was not a problem and we played in the sand for a couple of hours before packing up and heading over to their house.
They live on Main street, in the cutest little town ever. They bbq out in front of their house before the parade starts and it's the best place to be!!!!

This was only the 2nd time we have joined them and we kept asking ourselves, "Why don't we do this every year?" Ok, we wouldn't want to wear out our welcome, I suppose.

After the parade we went over to the park where the kids were able to play for a couple of hours.

We came home hot, tired, sunburned and totally exhausted!!!! But totally worth it!!!!
Thank you Ball Family!!!!!!!!!! Hope you all had a wonderful 4th!!!!
