Prom Fun!

These days, asking someone to go to prom is almost as much fun as going! Well, almost. Samantha asked a friend from church/school that graduated last year. She made a plate of brownies and made up a cute little cheer that she cleverly arranged on top of the brownies. He's a cheerleader at Portland State University as well as being a cheerleader at Glencoe last year. And since Sam was a cheerleader this year, she thought that would be a cute way to tie in their connection. She waited 3 days to get his response. Three loooooong days.

Wednesday night, around 10, he called and told her to go out in the front of the house. She was just getting in the shower, so she zippy quick took the world's fastest shower and then went out in front. She called him back because she saw......... nothing.

He told her to follow the yellow line. Yeah, there was no yellow line. He asked if she saw the fire. FIRE???? What on earth? Now she was really confused. She started to wonder if he had gone to the right house. After asking a few questions, she headed over to the neighbor's house. Sure enough, there it was!!!

A long yellow chalk line led out to the street where a big YES was written in chalk. The part she missed due to taking a shower first, was the fact that it had indeed been on fire at one point. You see, if put hand sanitizer all over and then light it, it burns! Who knew?? Makes sense though!! He was a little bummed that he gave her the answer at the neighbor's house and that she missed the fire but the answer was still the same!!! Yay!!

Next Saturday is the big day!!! You can bet that there will be plenty of pictures on here!!

A fire? Wow! That guy is creative!

I just sent an email out to family I had email addresses for (didn't have yours) about the CD of Grammy's birthday pics. Basically it says that you can watch this video http://www.justsnooping.com/tours/2607471/

and pick which ones you want (they're numbered) and have me email them to you, or I can send you a CD of all 81 pictures for $2 to cover the costs. (The video starts with a picture of my mom because I used our Realtor software we use for doing virtual tours to put the pictures together.)

Enjoy!

Wow, what a clever response! Can't wait to see photos! Chico's and my first "official" date was his prom 21 years ago. :)
