Monday night was Senior Honors night. All of the hard work that Sam has done the past 4 years really paid off. She came out of there with so many awards and honors. We couldn't have been more proud. She received:
*Presidential Award (certificate)
*Scholar Activities Award (certificate)
*Certificate of Advanced Mastery (silver cord)
*National Honor's Society, G.P.A of 3.75 and above (blue and gold cords)
*Hillsboro School District Chancellor's Diploma (white tassel)
*Glencoe High School Honor's Diploma (gold stole)
Truly amazing! She is a wonderful example of what it means to work hard and do your best!
Congratulations Samantha!!!

Is she still planning on BYU-Idaho? Tell her to talk to me about the honors program. When I was there they gave you a $50 "scholarship" at the end of each semester just for taking one honors class that fulfilled a GE requirement anyway. And those classes always had the least busywork and very few students, so we got a lot more one-on-one with the teacher. One philosophy class I took had 7 students, and we sat around a table in a conference room! Loved it!
Oh, plus, at the end when you graduate you get a cord and graduate with honors.
Great job Sam!
Congratulations Sam...You are a beautiful young lady...
