The Seniors dominated this year's Powder Puff game! To be honest, I don't know if Seniors ever lose the game......it just wouldn't be right!

Sam had a great time and came home with no injuries.....other than being freezing cold!!!! It was a rainy/windy day last Friday and the temperatures were way below normal for this time of year.

Wa-Hoooo Sam! Great job in the game!

Aye Matey! It's My Birthday!

His dessert of choice: mint chocolate chip ice cream in a waffle cone!

Yup, you saw right! Those are boxers! He asked for them!

And what's a birthday without Lego's? For Tanner, it wouldn't be a birthday!

This was priceless. Jasmine had never had an ice cream cone before and had no idea how to keep that darn ice cream in her cone. I can't tell you how many times it would roll out onto the table and we would pick it up and put it back in her cone. This time however, she was walking around and it fell out on the floor. That was the end of that. She never did eat her cone.

Ah, yes. There it is. Don't worry, it went in the garbage and not her cone. Whew!

Tanner had a birthday like no other. He got to sleep in late, go to school late, eat an entire foot long Subway sandwich for lunch at school and pass out doughnuts to his class. He also got to go back to the eye doctor and have his eye checked for swelling and bleeding. He got to chose the dinner and dessert and open a stack of fun gifts and cool cards.

I can't even count how many times he thanked us for making his birthday perfect. He had a great day and even though he wasn't too excited about wearing a patch on his special day, he did it willingly and without complaining.

We love you Tanner. It is a joy to be your mother and I feel truly blessed.

It's Birthday Time.....Again!!!

Tanner is turning 11 today!!!! No, the pirate-look is not part of his outfit, that is a whole different story!** More pictures later, just wanted to wish our favorite Pirate a Happy Birthday!!!

**Last night Tanner went to a party at his Sunday school teacher's house. They were celebrating everyone's birthdays for the year in one shot. Someone threw a tennis ball at Tanner and apparently, they had pretty good aim; it hit him right in the eye! He is the sweetest boy, he tried not to make a big deal about it even though it hurt like lightening! We picked him up when it was over and he told us what had happened. We could tell it must have hurt just by the condition of his eye. It was all red and a little swollen.

A couple of hours later we really got a good look at it and Scott called the Urgent Care number. The Advice Nurse said it sounded like we needed to come in. We told her that his pupil was elongated and there was blood pooling behind the iris.

We spent 2 1/2 hours up at Doernbecher Hospital in Portland (yes, the same hospital that Thomas got to hang out in with his finger injury). They have the most amazing staff of Doctors there. Their bedside manners are above and beyond anything I have ever seen. It looks like his eye is going to be ok. We're just watching it and he's taking it very easy. If it were to start bleeding again or not drain properly it could cause glaucoma and that would not be good.

And Then She Loses A Tooth!!!

Our birthday girl needed one more day of fame! She lost her first tooth yesterday! She will have a pretty good hole in her mouth because the other 3 are going to be out in the next couple of days as well!!!

She was soooo excited to see Levi's gift to her. It was something she asked him for awhile back: his tie box. At Christmas he got a new tie and it came in this snazzy box. She really wanted it. The bonus? It came with some $$ in it! A few pennies, a nickel and a dime and she was a pretty happy girl!

"Thank you Levi! I love it!!"

Tanner reading his card to her. All the kids made her cards. It's kind of our family tradition. She loved all the cards. All we heard all night was, "Thank you so much for the beautiful cards." "Thank you so much for the wonderful birthday!" "I love my birthday!"

Talisha is a joy. She has an understanding of things well beyond her years. She began speaking very, very young and has never stopped. She says very thoughtful, insightful things that you wouldn't expect to hear from a small child. She cares about others feelings. She is all girl and loves wearing pretty dresses.

Samantha and her date had a great time at Prom. They went with a great group of friends, had a great dinner down on the waterfront in Portland and danced the night away!

Now we move on to birthdays and Graduation is right around the corner!

Doll Clean Up!

Yesterday I asked Sabrina to help clean up dolls. She had a little helper. When I turned around and saw Sabrina, with her arms full of "dolls", I had to do a double take! One little doll in particular looked very familiar!!
