So, we have this area in our entryway that needs something on the walls.  I haven't been able to come up with any ideas of what to put there. 

It needs something long and thin.....this is not what I had in mind.....

Summer....So Far!

Well, our first week of Summer vacation didn't go so well.  We had lazy kids, crabby kids, bored kids!  We decided very quickly that something would need to change pronto!!!  We put together a schedule for each day that would ensure everyone knew exactly what was happening next!

After that first week, we heard nothing but good things about the newly implemented schedule!  The kids loved running to the fridge (where it's posted) to see what was next on their 'to-do' list!  Chores got done, house stayed cleaner, there was less arguing, there was time to do the things they wanted....it was a win/win for everyone!!!

Our daily schedule!  Sorry, it's a little crumpled, it's well used!

This has not eliminated all the chaos that Summer can bring but it has certainly helped bring a little more peace and structure to our home!

It's official!!!! Samantha is getting married!!! We are so happy for her! She is marrying an amazing young man and they are soooo in love!!!!

Due to the fact that they are crazy college students, they will be squeezing in a wedding in between school breaks!  They will be getting married in the Idaho Falls Temple in August!!!  We can't wait!!!!!!

Everyone Loves The Children

Prom 2011!

Sabrina had a wonderful opportunity to go back to Oregon and go to Prom with all of her amazing friends from St. Helens!  It was last Saturday night.  She flew in to Portland on Friday and stayed until Monday.  She had asked a friend from Hillsboro to go with her.  He's a very dear friend.  He was adopted from an orphanage in Russia about seven years ago and they have been friends ever since.  She has several friends that have been adopted from Russia and they each hold a special place in her heart.  He is no exception! 

When she called and asked him if he would like to go to Prom with her, I was told that 'he was flattered and a little embarassed'.  When he got out of the car and saw Sabrina, dressed in her beautiful dress, his mother said she took his breath away.  He said she looked like a Princess!  That's the kind of Prom date every girl dreams of having!

They had a wonderful time at Prom and it was so fun for her to be able to see all her old friends!  I'm going to post a few pics so you can see how great they looked!
