It's Birthday Time!!

The end of January marks the beginning of 'birthday season' at our house!  We celebrate birthdays all Spring and a couple in the summer and then we are done for the rest of the year. 

Savannah and Isaiah are the first to celebrate!  They even share the same birthday!

Special Request!

Savannah wanted a sandwich the other day and so she took it upon herself to get the bread, etc. out of the fridge.  When she had everything ready, she asked her older sister to make her a sandwich.  She had pulled out  two peices of bread, both of them were the heels.   As her sister got done making her sandwich, Savannah politely requested, "Can you please cut the crusts off?"

Hmmmm, that was a tough request!  :)

Has Anyone Tried It??

For Christmas we got our family a new game.  It's a little intense.  It's a little mind boggling.  It's a little creepy!  It's called Mind Flex.  Have you heard of it?  The kids had seen commercials for it and told me about it.  I thought it sounded a little fishy but figured we would give it a whirl!  Here's the object of the game:

The object of the game is to manipulate a styrofoam ball through an obstacle course as it's held aloft by jets of air from tiny fans embedded in the game system. The unique aspect to the MindFlex game is the mechanism by which you control the fans... the fans are controlled by the power of the player's mind!! By simply thinking about it, the player adjusts the level of the fans, and manipulates a small knob for directional input in order to move the ball around as desired.

Sound crazy???? Well, the weird thing was.....it really worked!!

So there ya have it!  It was harder for some, easier for others......but everyone had a great time playing!

And She's Off And Running!!!!!

Samantha is in college!!!!  She is at BYU!!   On Sunday, January 2nd, Scott,Sam, Thomas and Isaiah all headed to Idaho!  Monday morning they headed over to her new apartment and started unloading her stuff.  She is roommates with her good friend that she's known since 6th grade and they are in a cooking dorm.

She started classes on Wednesday and so far loves all of her classes (and some of the cute boys in them!)  :) 

We are so proud of her and her hard work to get herself there!  She had a job at a great company where she worked since August and was able to earn all the money she needs for a couple of semesters of school.  We miss her terribly and can't wait to see her again but we know that this is where she needs to be!

WinterBall 2011!

On Saturday, Sabrina and Josh attended WinterBall at their school.  They were dressed up so beautifully and matched perfectly!  It was a girl's choice dance, which meant Sabrina had to ask him.  She put together a photo album with all of their cute photos from the past few months of places they have been or dates they have gone on.  At the end she left a page blank and put a note that said "Winterball?"

He answered back with a huge poster that said, "YES!"

They went with a group in a limo to Olive Garden and then to the dance. They had a great time!!

Catch Up....

It's so hard to play catch up when you are blogging.  Something like a little 'glitch' in the system holds you up from posting but life doesn't stop.....sooooooo instead of worrying about all the old posts I have been meaning to write, I will just start fresh today.  If you happen to stop by someday in the future and a Christmas post has been added, you will know I finally got things figured out!
